What does Anuga stand for?

ANUGA stands for "General Food and Drink Exhibition" and is one of the largest international trade fairs for food and beverages. The show has been held every two years in Cologne since 1919 and over the years has become an important meeting place for manufacturers, retailers, buyers and trade visitors from all over the world. Anuga is divided into 10 trade shows covering different areas of the food and beverage industry, offering a wide range of products and services.

Anuga is the world's largest trade fair for food and beverages and is characterized by its versatility and innovative strength. At Anuga 2023, more than 7,500 exhibitors from over 100 countries will present their latest products and solutions in the areas of Bread & Bakery, Chiles & Fresh Food, Out of Home, Dairy, Drinks, Fine Food, Frozen Food, Hot Beverages, Meat and Organic.

Another highlight of Anuga is its international focus, which enables visitors from all over the world to find out about the latest trends and developments in the global food industry and make international business contacts.

Anuga also offers numerous fringe events, such as congresses, seminars and presentations, which broaden visitors' specialist knowledge and promote exchange among industry experts. Particular attention is paid to forward-looking topics such as sustainability and digitization.

Who is Anuga suitable for?

When will Anuga 2023 take place?

The date and opening hours for Anuga 2023 have been set: from October 7-11, 2023, Anuga will take place in Cologne and will be open to trade visitors Saturday through Tuesday from 10:00-19:00 and Wednesday from 10:00-18:00. As usual, the trade fair will be held at the Cologne Exhibition Center and again expects numerous exhibitors and visitors from all over the world. The exhibitors are spread over 11 exhibition halls arranged according to trade fairs and can be reached barrier-free at ground level or by elevators.

How much does a ticket for Anuga 2023 cost?

Admission prices for Anuga 2023 for a one-day ticket are 80€. The permanent ticket for Anuga 2023 costs 150€. Tickets are only available online at the Anuga ticket store and there are no ticket sales on site. Tickets for Anuga 2023 are not valid for the Anuga HORIZON Conference. To attend the Anuga HORIZON Conference, one must purchase an additional ticket or a combination ticket.

A permanent ticket for Anuga Horizon Conference costs 179€, a combination day ticket for Anuga 2023 and Anuga HORIZON Conference costs 259€ and the all-round complete package combination permanent ticket Anuga 2023 and Anuga HORIZON Confernce costs 329€. In addition to the day tickets and season tickets, students and groups entitled to admission can also purchase discounted student tickets from the Bundesverband des Deutschen Lebensmittelhandels e.V. How do I get to Anuga in Cologne?

The exhibition center is located in Cologne Deutz on the right side of the Rhine and is easy to reach by public transport as well as by car. However, it is recommended to use public transport to get to Anuga 2023 to avoid traffic jams and parking problems.

By train to Anuga:

Deutsche Bahn offers many connections to Cologne. From Cologne Central Station, you can easily reach Anuga by subway (line 3 or 4).

By plane to Anuga:

Cologne/Bonn Airport is only 15 kilometers from the trade show. From the airport, you can easily reach Anuga by S-Bahn (line S13).

By car to Anuga:

Anuga is easily accessible via the A1, A3 and A4 freeways. However, please note that there are usually high traffic volumes during the trade fair period. We recommend that you use Park & Ride parking lots and then take public transportation to the trade show.

Die Anuga ist ausschließlich für Fachbesucher:innen. Die Definition ist aber sehr weitläufig und ausführlich auf der Webseite der Anuga definiert (https://www.anuga.de/die-messe/tickets/fachbesucherdefinition/). Je nachdem in welchem Berufsfeld und in welchem Unternehmen du tätig bist kannst du die Anuga besuchen. Falls keine der angegebenen Fachbesucher:innendefinitionen auf dich zutrifft können wir dir alternativ die Internorga in Hamburg empfehlen. Auf der Messe gibt es ebenfalls sehr viel zu sehen und da kann sich jeder ein Ticket kaufen der Interesse an Foodtrends hat. Die Internorga findet jährlich im Frühjahr statt.
