What is the INTERNORGA?

Internorga is the trade fair for the catering and hotel industry in northern Germany. With around 1,300 exhibitors, it offers considerable space for national and international companies. The main focus is on new products, sustainable alternatives and innovative technologies. Internorga takes place annually in spring at the Hamburg exhibition center. In addition to the trade fair itself, Internorga also presents awards such as the Future Prize and initiates competitions such as the "Next Chef Award".

When is the INTERNORGA 2025?

Internorga 2025 will take place from March 14 to March 18. The trade fair will provide space for innovations from all areas of the hospitality industry and those associated with it. In addition, congresses and competitions will be held to show visitors what is going on in the minds of the sectors and what ideas they have.

Who is INTERNORGA suitable for?

Internorga is for anyone who works in a hotel, bakery, restaurant, bar, pub or confectionery or has a keen interest in the industry. From baking-enthusiastic students, to gastronomy trainees or ecotrophology students, to environmental scientists and company founders; all visitors to Internorga will find what they are looking for thanks to the great versatility of the trade fair, can pursue their area of interest, see new inspiration and, with a little luck, make important contacts.

If you can assign your company to one of the following categories, it is definitely worth considering booking a stand yourself and becoming an exhibitor at Internorga. But hurry up, we have heard that there are only a few places left.

Main categories of the past Internorga, 2024:

  1. Food and beverages
  2. Kitchen technology and equipment
  3. Restaurant and hotel equipment
  4. Digital applications

5 excellent reasons to visit INTERNORGA 2025:

1. stay informed about current topics and trends

Immerse yourself in a world of the future: the diversity in packaging and shipping, plant-based, new design trends, artificial intelligence - all these extraordinary topics and many more can be found at the North German Internorga 20 25. Both individual Internorga exhibitors and the trade fair team will be providing information about new innovative trends in the food and catering sector.

Presentations, live pitches and panels on hot industry topics such as New Work, sustainability and future food will also be held on the Internorga stage in 2025. What exactly this will look like remains to be seen, but in 2024, for example, the "What The Food! - by foodlab" gave the start-up scene a face and was intended to inform visitors about new innovations on a daily basis.

Internorga also publishes the "FoodZoom" in cooperation with trend researcher Karin Tischer. This is a guide that refers to all new trends and ideas in the food service industry and analyzes and describes current movements. Suggestions on areas such as artificial intelligence, street food and dietary preferences such as "high protein" or "vegan" are provided and all questions relating to these areas are clarified. The previous presentation can be easily downloaded from the Internorga website. This will give you an insight into the trends at Internorga. The thesis paper also provides an overview of the future of the out-of-home market and refers specifically to customer behavior and the wishes of guests.

2. get to know the latest appliances and technology

Under the term "Connected Kitchen", various providers are trying to find clever solutions for the catering sector to simplify and optimize the preparation of delicacies. The aim is to reduce the workload on employees and save time.

But what can this networking of the kitchen look like? At Internorga, you can find out exactly how the individual kitchen appliances will communicate with each other and which automated processes are currently being developed. The exhibitors at Internorga will present their smart appliances and showcase their advanced technology, such as "4D Printing" or "Sensor Technology".

You should be in good hands with the exhibitors in the "Kitchen technology and equipment" categories. In addition, regular customers now have the opportunity to pursue their individual wishes for stand design and preparation, which offers more utilization potential for exhibitors and customers.

So if you're wondering how the blast chiller is connected to the cooking oven and how this automation can be of use, stop by and be inspired by the latest technologies.

3. benefit from NEW WORK approaches

New concepts and ideas for making the world of work more sustainable, social and smart can be found on every corner. Especially during and after the coronavirus crisis, modern forms of work are needed to make everyday life easier. This is where New Work comes into play. Internorga would like to offer a platform for inspiration and exchange and see this crisis as an opportunity to come together again, learn from each other and support each other. New Work in the catering industry covers areas such as digitalization, sustainability, sharing offers, leadership management, time recording, internal communication and more.

Be inspired by new concepts and broaden your horizons not only in the area of "technology" or "trends" but also in the area of "new work". Get in touch with other restaurateurs and hotel owners, discuss different New Work approaches and share your experiences. New Work is not rocket science; change always takes time and dedication, but even small steps lead to success. And this success should be reflected in more satisfaction, less stress, more appreciation and new motivation.

4. discover the newcomer area & sustainable solutions

Are you looking for new innovative ideas? You want to get in touch with other young founders and talk to them about the future? Do you want to experience the latest trends live with all your senses? Then the Newcomer Area at Internorga 2025 is the right place for you: here you will find a series of pioneering formats, such as the Next Chef Award. With so many kitchen stars and up-and-coming entrepreneurs, it's hard to know where to start.

Do you have creative ideas and your delicacies take everyone to cloud nine? Then maybe you should think about registering yourself.

Whether as a visitor or exhibitor, the special exhibition areas and specials at Internorga 2025 have a lot to offer. The exhibition areas at the last Internorga - the "PinkCube", the "Craft Coffee Area" and the "Craft Spirit Lounge" - were real highlights, where delicious and exciting products awaited you!

Sustainability also plays another important role at Internorga 2025, with start-ups in particular trying to create plastic-free alternatives for the hospitality industry or design new products from recycled plastic. Since the plastic bag ban was also introducedin Germany in 2020 and the ban on single-use plastic in 2021, it is exciting to see what other measures will be taken in the future to protect our environment from pollution. Internorga aims to raise awareness of the issues of plastic, waste separation and waste through themed presentations and innovative products. The new theme area "Packaging & Delivery" was introduced for this purpose.

Here, too, there are numerous opportunities to find sustainable solutions and obtain extensive information, not only in the "Newcomer Area" but also in other areas of the trade fair. If you want to know how we at #IAMPLASTICFREE are trying to revolutionize the catering industry and create sustainable alternatives with plastic-free bags and straws, you canfind out morehere .

5. be inspired by the Packaging & Delivery area

During the pandemic, the demand for delivery services for restaurants, but also for supermarkets, has risen sharply. Large companies such as Lieferando and Gorillas have seen huge growth, but Burger King, Subway and other individual restaurants have also set up or expanded delivery services.

With the ban on single-use plastic in 2021, many restaurateurs have lost an essential packaging material in certain areas, forcing them to switch and giving them an impetus to look into reusable and returnable tableware. Innovators in the industry will be offering this and much more at Internorga 2025.

Internorga 2025 offers you the opportunity to take a detour into the world of packaging and delivery after the food service industry.

Our conclusion: Mark Internorga 2025 in your calendar!

Forward-looking trends, new technical solutions, modern ways of working, young founders, sustainable alternatives, agricultural concepts, culinary variations, the design of the hospitality industry, visions of the future - Internorga is full of inspiration and ideas that will be a special experience for everyone. We are particularly excited about the specials and the new structure of the themed areas.
